Welcome to Mr. O'Leary's ELA/SS Class!

I am Mr. O'Leary, and I am the Middle Grades ELA/SS teacher here at Bridgewater Academy.
I am new to the Bridgewater Academy family, but I am enthusiastic about my opportunity to join such a great team!

My family and I moved to the Myrtle Beach area in 1991; from there, we settled in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. I am a graduate from Carolina Forest High School (Class of 2004).

After high school, I spent time traveling, and figuring out what I wanted to do in life; it was not until my mid-twenties that I decided to attend college. It was clear to me from a young age that I wanted to be an educator; it is because of this that I enrolled at Coastal Carolina University where I pursued my BA in History. Shortly after I earned my BA, I decided to attend graduate school at CCU; I completed my MA in 2018.

You must be the change you wish to see in the world."

If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything."
- Mark Twain
If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.
-John Quincy Adams
Life is a journey, not a destination.

Veni, Vidi, Vici"
- Julius Caesar
Success is not final, failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts.
